Arcade Fire Album Details
Music fans of the world rejoice!
Celebrated Canadian group Arcade Fire have revealed details of their forthcoming third album.
Canada has transformed itself into the hippest nation on the planet. Through groups such as Broken Social Scene, and labels such as Arts And Crafts, the nation has turned its once reviled musical product into gold.
The band who arguably kick started this renaissance are Arcade Fire. Sure, they are completely independent of many of their contemporaries but in terms of sheer breath-taking sonic trickery Arcade Fire are perhaps the Canadian music scene's greatest achievement.
Arcade Fire have been silent since the release of their album 'Neon Bible' in 2007. The group have chosen to work on a number of solo recordings, with a tour film being released towards the end of last year.
In addition to this, Arcade Fire lent their classic track 'Wake Up' to a Spike Jonze movie - which Karen O curated. The coolest thing ever? We like to think so.
Now it seems that the Canadians have begun work on their much anticipated new album. One of the most highly praised groups to have emerged in this decade, Clash Magazine recently voted 'Funeral' as the finest album to be released in its lifetime.

In a new interview leader Win Butler reveals that the band have reconvened and are working on new material, which could be released a lot sooner than many have been expecting.
"None of us want to take three years making a record," Butler explained to the NME. "It could be that we'll play live (soon) and maybe we'll end up bashing it (another album) out fast. We're in the middle of writing, things are coming together, it's a great feeling."
Win Butler also claimed that he was desperate to get back on the live circuit. "If you had asked me (about playing live) six months ago I'd be like 'No, I'm good'," he said. "But now I go to a gig and I get the little…I can imagine being on that stage. It's the step before you actually go and do it."
In an interview with the NME earlier this year Win Butler explained that "this last year was the first break we've had in five years. Everyone feels really rejuvenated and excited. I'm happy to play music".
And we're happy to listen to you play music, Butler.
Arcade Fire are set to begin recording a new album soon.
