Aphex Twin and µ-Ziq are to re-issue their collaborative album 'Expert Knob Twiddlers'.
The record was laid out during the summer of 1994, with the world cup gently playing in the background.
Definitely a piece of its time, the basic equipment – an Atari, Roland MKS-80, Memorymoog, Roland R8 and a handful of samples on a Casio FZ-10M – actually lend it a rather universal appeal.
'Expert Knob Twiddlers' will be spruced up for the new re-issue, with the original tapes being carefully cleaned up.
A new running order is presented, with seven previously unreleased tracks being unearthed for the new edition.
'Vodka (Mix2)' is online, and it's a neat primer for what to expect – two pioneers, playfully pushing each other further and further.
Check it out now.
'Expert Knob Twiddlers' will be re-issued on September 2nd.
