Animal Collective are amongst the names confirmed for next summer's instalment of Field Day.
Can it really be that time already? Field Day is one of London's most prominent one day events, bringing together all manner of bands, producers and DJs. Leaving nothing to chance, organisers are already well on the way to completing 2013's line up.
In a series of Facebook postings this afternoon Field Day curators unveiled some of the acts scheduled to appear at next summer's event. Animal Collective are amongst the surprises, with the Stateside group set to appear at the London festival.
Former Clash Magazine cover stars, Animal Collective recently released their new album 'Centipede Hz' to widespread acclaim. A dense, provocative document it found the four piece working as a band, composing material eyeball-to-eyeball for the first time in years.
Other names on the Field Day line up include Mercury nominees Django Django, , Do Make Say Think, Emeralds, Everything Everything, Canadian hardcore titans Fucked Up, Scottish songwriter James Yorkston and Tim Burgess.
Elsewhere, you can expect the electronic element to be led by Disclosure, Hessle Audio DJs (Ben UFO, Pangaea, Pearson Sound) and Julio Bashmore. Hudson Mohawke and Lunice will bring their TNGHT project to Field Day, while Daphni, Four Tet, Bat For Lashes and How To Dress Well have all confirmed their involvement.
In a fairly comprehensive posting, Field Day organisers also announced slots from Charlie Boyer & The Voyeurs, CHVRCHES, Daughter, Frànçois and The Atlas Mountains, VIRALS, Vondelpark! and Ginger Baker Jazz Confusion.
Field Day 2013 takes place on May 25th.
