Angel Haze has unveiled her long awaited debut album 'Dirty Gold'.
Blazing a trail for a new generation of female rappers, Angel Haze matched stunning flow to a brutal sense of honesty. Autobiographical to a fault, her early mixtapes fused relentless beats to continual innovation, winning widespread acclaim in the process.
Heading back into the studio, the rapper has now completed work on her debut album. 'Dirty Gold' is set to be released on March 3rd, with new cut 'A Tribe Called Red' being placed online.
Produced is handled by the Ottawa collective of the same name, who lend a relentless tribal percussion rooted in First Nation culture. Angel Haze is herself part-Cherokee, but uses the track as a very personal insight into the way in which music has changed her life.
As she raps on the hook: "You gotta make the decision to make the one difference in your life and turn it around..."
