Amy Winehouse Storms Grammys

Singer Receives Six Nominations

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse recieved some great news today as she was nominated six times in this year's Grammy Awards.

Her album "Back To Black" was nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, whilst her work on the single "Rehab" was rewarded with nominations in Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal. Having only recently broken through in America, Winehouse was also nominated for Best New Artist.

The success demonstrates how successful Amy Winehouse has become in the US. Her single "Rehab" entered the Billboard Top Ten, whilst its parent album "Back To Black" became the best debut entry by a British female artist.

The 50th annual Grammy awards will take place on February 10th, 2008.
