'Rehab' singer heads to studio

Having endured severe doubts over the future of her career Amy Winehouse could be about to return to the studio to record her third album.

Amy Winehouse released her album 'Back To Black' in 2007. A massive success, it established the singer as a global star and spawned the huge hit single 'Rehab'. Since then, Winehouse has become tabloid fodder with her spiralling drug abuse and troubled relationships regularly spread across the front pages of the British press.

Sessions with Mark Ronson ended disastrously as the producer walked away from the studio. However a source recently told the Daily Express newspaper that "Amy has been calling industry colleagues and telling them to start preparing because she's back."

"She's singing new material over the phone to them and telling them to get working on it. She desperately wants to re-establish herself as a serious musician."

Winehouse recently journeyed to the Caribbean for a typically high profile holiday.

"Amy is definitely getting back to work. Her manager was in St. Lucia over the weekend talking to her about organising studio time and putting together her band. She's got a lot of songs written."

There is no release date for the new Amy Winehouse album.

Apparently the new album

Apparently the new album doesn't work quite right. I've read in a magazine that Amy Winehouse's new songs have been turned down. It's obvious when she is more into drugs now than into her music. She defiantly needs a drug rehab program.
