Check out this acoustic take on '(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher'...
Amber Run

There's a few different sides to Amber Run.

Live, the band's crunching energy has a real physicality, but this can sometimes obscure the tender naivety of their songwriting.

New acoustic EP 'Alaska' displays a rather more tender side of Amber Run, and it features a few surprises.

None more so than this version of a genuine soul classic. Jackie Wilson's '(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher' was a huge hit in 1967, and remains a perennial dancefloor filler across the globe.

Switching things around, Amber Run deliver a sparse re-work that focusses on those beautiful lyrics, a tale of redemption through love.

Vocalist Joe Keogh explains: "'Higher And Higher' is a track from our childhood. We've heard it in so many forms and we really wanted to have a go at it as well. It was a real challenge to take a song we, and many others, know so well and attempt to make it our own. I really hope we did it some justice."
