Amanda Palmer has penned a savage retort to the Daily Mail - check out her song below.
Amanda Palmer isn't one to hold her tongue. The American artist has always been outspoken - sometimes to her benefit, at others to her detriment. Performing at Glastonbury recently, the singer entertained countless thousand fans with a career-spanning set.
However the Daily Mail found a photo of a wardrobe malfunction, and ran a less than flattering report alongside a revealing photograph. Understandably annoyed, Amanda Palmer then penned an impromptu ode to the newspaper.
'Dear Daily Mail' includes lyrics such as: "it’s so sad what you tabloids are doing / your focus on debasing women’s appearances ruins our species of humans / but a rag is a rag and far be it from me to go censoring anyone OH NO / it appears that my entire body is currently trying to escape this kimono…."
The song ends: "and though there be millions of people who’ll accept the cultural bar where you have it at / there are plenty of others who’re perfectly willing to see breasts in their natural habitat / i keenly anticipate your highly literate coverage of upcoming tours / dear daily mail / UP YOURS."
