Alt-J 2013 Tour Dates

Plenty of time to save up...

Alt-J have confirmed plans for a number of British tour dates next Spring – ticket details below.

Undoubtedly one of the year’s more probing, insightful new acts Alt-J have steadily pushed their way into the public gaze. Debut album ‘An Awesome Wave’ won overwhelming critical praise, becoming a sleeper hit in the process.

Recently confirming plans for a one off headline date in January, Alt-J have now outlined their plans for Spring 2013. Hitting the road, the newcomers have shifted up a gear; moving from intimate venues to large scale O2 Academy institutions, the dates mark another rite of passage for the band.

Opening in Birmingham on May 5th, the tour then hits Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds and more. Ending with a visit to London, Alt-J are set to perform in Brixton Academy on May 16th.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday (September 7th).

Meanwhile, Alt-J have also outlined plans for their next single. ‘Something Good’ will be released on October 1st, with Joe Newman offering the following insight into the song: “In the song, the bull ends up killing the matador and that represents the death of your clinging to a particular person. You’ve gone out, you’ve had a really good time and realised you don’t need that person.”
