This summer Isle of Wight will become the epicentre of the festival scene.
The island has had a long run of legendry festival listings from playing host to Jimi Hendrix and The Doors from 1968-1970, and thanks to one of those festival veterans, John Giddings, Managing director of Solo Promoters from has become a key player in reinventing the island as a music destination.
Playing host to four festivals, including the Isle Of Wight Festival, which has seen the likes of Bowie, The Rolling Stones and Coldplay grace the stages.
Alongside IOW, will be the dance alternative festival; Bestival headed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank. Playing this year sees Amy Winehouse, Underworld and My Bloody Valentine play.
Giddings has also organised two brand new 10,000 capacity events on the island. Being held in a stately home, Osbourne House. One of the events will see Paul Weller headlining, whilst the other will have Girls Aloud.
