Al Green

Soul singer and man of God Al Green is set for a UK visit hot on the heels of the release of his new album "Lay It Down".

Produced by Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson of hip hop titans The Roots, "Lay It Down" recaptured the feel of Green early 70s peak, but with a modern production. Featuring guest performances from Anthony Hamilton, John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae, it became the singer's first Billboard Top Ten album since 1973.

With a lengthy career behind him, Al Green is truly a giant in modern music. An ordained pastor, his firm religious convictions saw him reject r'n'b - releasing only gospel records for the bulk of the 80s.

Still a stunning live performer, Al Green will play the following live dates:

October 28th - Birmingham, NIA Arena
October 30th - Glasgow, Clyde Auditorium
November 3rd - Manchester, Evening News Arena
November 5th - London, Royal Albert Hall
November 6th - London, Hammersmith Apollo
