Action Bronson has confirmed plans for a one off show at London venue KOKO.
A larger than life character, Action Bronson is engrained in American hip hop. Realistically, this is something which shouldn't translate - a chef from Queens, rhyming about smoking blunts... making it big in the UK.
Yet that's exactly what's happened. Action Bronson is playing bigger and bigger venues, and recently outlined plans for his most high profile London show to date.
Set to play London's historic KOKO venue on June 7th, the one off performance is a real line in the sand for the rapper. Tickets for the date go on sale this Friday (February 15th) at 9am.
ClashMusic recently caught up with Action Bronson for an exclusive interview. Reflecting on his style, the rapper said: "As far as I know this is just my voice and the way I rap, the way I talk and the way I think. I mean my influences I definitely listened to a lot of Wu-Tang, Cam'Ron, Kool G Rap, UGK and Mobb Deep growing up. I feel I have a lot of influences from a lot of different people but I feel now that I've proved myself and I've shown that I'm my own man that everything comes from me and nobody else. It's really hard to compare me at this point because: first off no one's doing the work I'm doing and secondly no raps like me at this current moment. Everyone's off trying to be on some other swaggy-type shit and I'm just one of a kind."
