Aussie Legends Not Playing Festival

After red hot internet rumors had begun to spread that AC/DC were set to play T In The Park, festival organizers DF Concerts have been forced to declare that the Australian group will not be playing the event.

The hard rockin' legends return earlier this year with former 'Album Of The Week' 'Black Ice'. An energetic return to their early rock roots, lead single 'Rock 'N' Roll Train' was a runaway slice of boogie action.

The band are set to visit the UK on their world tour next year, yet surprisingly left Scotland off their schedule. Iconic guitarists the Young brothers were born in Glasgow, while deceased original singer Bon Scott was brought up in Kirriemuir.

Fans were left disappointed, leading to rumors that AC/DC were to headline T In The Park. Geoff Ellis of DF Concerts has issued a statement saying:

"I can confirm that AC/DC will not be playing at T in the Park 2009. We do not want AC/DC fans to buy a ticket for T in the Park under false pretences as this would not only disappoint them, but also the many people desperate to get their hands on a T in the Park ticket regardless of the headliner."
