AC/DC Make Expensive Tickets List

Australian hard rockers AC/DC have come out highly in a new poll to find the most expensive gig tickets around.

With the credit crunch scratching at the door of even the most affluent homes, it could be time to cut back. But not on our gig going habits, it seems.

Last year boasted record breaking tours from Madonna and others, and a new poll by NoiseAddict has found the most expensive tickets around. The website took an average of dollar prices from Ticketmaster, and it produced some interesting results.

Unsurprisingly, Madonna comes out on top with a massive $378 per ticket. With a massive stage show and huge demand, the Material Girl can probably charge whatever the hell she feels like.

Hard rockers AC/DC apparently charge a whopping $263 for the pleasure of their live show. Ironically, guitarist Malcolm Young once told Rock Radio the band work hard to keep prices down saying "it's value for the dollar. We like to keep the ticket price down. You know, we're pretty conscious of when we were fans -- 'Oh, I couldn't afford to get that one.' So we wanted to keep it a fair price out there."
