80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster Reform

Praise be to the gods of psychobilly!

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster have reformed, with the band set to play a handful of live shows.

Psychobilly giants The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster achieved a massive cult following in their time together before they split due to an “onslaught of challenges in the form of illness, personnel upheaval and general malcontent.”

But putting problems aside, the band (which features some original members in the line-up – Marc Norris and Andy Huxley) have decided to reform to play a small handful of shows and re-release their single ‘Chicken’, which will be made available August 20th.

The three-date tour will begin in Manchester before moving onto Brighton. Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster will also play a very special show at London’s Electric Ballroom on Halloween, which promises to be an unearthly and ceremonial-esque performance from an ever growing mysterious band who seem to have been misplaced in time.

Their single ‘Chicken’ is currently being used in the Nike FOOTBALL commercial My Time Is Now, which features an array of famous footballers, including Ronaldo and Sneijder, invading a match.

It is unclear whether they will continue to play further live shows or release new material.

Here’s the video for ‘Love Turns To Hate’.
