1990s Prepare New Album

Glasgow indie types return

Well connected Glasgow indie types 1990s are set to return with their eagerly awaited second album 'Kicks' on March 23rd, it has been announced.

Born out of Scottish indie legends The Yummy Fur (who once boasted a certain Alex Kapranos in their line up) 1990s released their debut album 'Cookies' in 2007. A cult favourite, its blend of bitter frequently hilarious love songs brought great acclaim for the group.

An affable live band, their dry wit and likeable persona has seen them win over audiences around the world. 'Kicks' is another dose of catchy songs that reference topics as varying as wide as life in Glasgow, the Baader-Meinhoff Gang and Mongolian Warlords.

Recorded at Edwyn Collins' West Heath Yard studio in London, it was produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler. Stand out song '59' references the 59 Bus which, as the band explain, is "the only bus you want to get on in Pollokshields, even
if it's going in the wrong direction."

1990s release their new album 'Kicks' on March 23rd, it has been announced.
