Liverpool's contribution to popular music needs no introduction - from The Beatles to The Zutons the city has produced a series of hugely successful (and influential) acts.
The Sound City celebration of this legacy kicks off the festival season, and has a bill to match the city's imposing musical reputation. The festival features events curated by Domino Records, Wall Of Sound and others, and can boast special performances from the likes of Hadouken!, Hercules And Love Affair, The Whip and Laura Marling.
Unsurprisingly for an event of this nature tickets are a little thin on the ground, however we have managed to get our greasy mitts on some very exclusive passes. A gold wristband entitles the wearer to free entry to parties, gigs and special events (capacity permitting), whilst the platinum wristband does all this as well as gaining the wearer free entry to the 5 - very exclusive - events to DIY for.
