Marianas Trench are set to play a special show at Los Angeles' legendary El Rey venue.
The band have a real 80s fixation, but they're far from a period piece – the group use those influences to look ahead, to craft something new.
Singer Josh Ramway was initially living the dream, with a major label deal pushing Marianas Trench to new heights.
But then his mother became seriously ill, sparking a prolonged period of self-doubt and writer's block.
Emerging stronger than ever before, the frontman poured his pent up emotion into startling new album 'Astoria' – named after the town where The Goonies is set.
Marianas Trench is a project renewed, with the band flourishing in each and every show. It's Los Angeles' turn next, with a one off show organised at the El Rey for August 12th.
