Trio to finish tour in London Forum

Welsh rock legends Manic Street Preachers have expanded their forthcoming live dates, and will now also play a smaller, additional show at the London Forum to finish off their tour.

The prolific trio are set to return with their most anticipated album in years, with 'Journal For Plagued Lovers' mixing the vitriolic snarl of Manics classic 'Holy Bible' with a new-found maturity.

Recorded with Steve Albini in Chicago, the album is the first time the group have revisited the journals of missing member Richey Edwards since 1996.

In a recent interview, bassist Nicky Wire revealed that he found it difficult to release the material, preferring instead to provoke a great art stunt. However, the group will now release the album, which is swiftly becoming their most highly-anticipated release since 1996's stunning post-Richey masterpiece 'Everything Must Go'.

With a cover art designed by 'Holy Bible' artist Jenny Saville, the harrowing image has already been banned by some supermarkets due to its depiction of a boys bloodied face.
