Electric Castle Is Romania’s True Gem

alt-J to headline 2017's instalment...

alt-J to headline Romania’s largest festival Electric Castle set in the 15th Century Banffy Castle on July 12th to 16th.

The festival is set to welcome 130,000 visitors over four days of music featuring a predominately electronic lineup with German trio Moderat set to play alongside British acts Nero and Dixon.

Metalcore band Architects will also make an appearance. The 2016 edition saw Bring Me The Horizon, Sigur Ros and Skrillex welcomed to the castle dubbed the ‘Versailles of Transylvania’.

Making a change from the extortionate food and drink prices of UK festivals, a beer at the festival will set punters back £1 with an average meal costing a mere £3.

In the day, guests will be entertained by a host of activities including a barber shop, yoga and a tech park featuring virtual reality gadget presentations and video gaming areas.
