Line up expands once more

Big Audio Dynamite are set to perform at this year's instalment of Benicassim.

Held in Barcelona, Benicassim is intended as a totally immersive cultural experience. Fans plunge head first into the Spanish event, which mixes an eclectic bill with reliably superb weather.

This year's bill is already shaping up to be a cracker. The Strokes, Primal Scream, Arcade Fire and more have been confirmed with more acts booking their flights to Barcelona on a daily basis.

The latest batch of new additions to the event includes Big Audio Dynamite. Often viewed as 'what Mick Jones did after The Clash' the band are a stunning creative entity with a character of their own.

Reforming earlier this year, the cult group merged rock with reggae and the emerging sounds of hip hop. Releasing some groundbreaking material, Big Audio Dynamite left behind a formidable legacy.

Due to perform at Benicassim, Big Audio Dynamite are sure to have a few surprises up their sleeve for the Spanish crowd. Elsewhere, British group Noah & The Whale are set to perform following the success of their new album 'Last Night On Earth'.

Layabouts have been confirmed, while Bristol via Berlin post-punk artist Anika is also set to appear. The line up contains a number of breaking acts, with Dorian, Henry Saiz and Hidrogenesse all due to perform.

Far from the final batch of newcomers to be added to the bill, don't forget that Benicassim has already confirmed appearances from Sheffield indie giants Arctic Monkeys, Portishead and more.

Tickets are on sale now.

Benicassim runs between July 11th - 18th.
