A long standing pillar of the British jazz community, Lyttleton was a professional musician for over 50 years. His novelty hit "Bad Penny Blues" was later reworked as the beginning to "Lady Madonna" by none other than the Beatles. Now sadly deceased, his legacy is in the generations of music fans who discovered jazz via his radio programmes.
