i can second the Sufjan stuff.
despite a lack of sleigh bells it still manages to be nice and christmas-sy (and surely sleigh bells define that xmas sound)
quite a feat!
I saw that Sufjan album last year, looks pretty good.
I didn't really ask for anything from anyone, but I'm pretty sure my girlfriend bought me Skelliconnection by Chad Vangaalen, which should be cool. I found out by mistake when I bought it from Amazon and showed her, and she told me to cancel it.
Not sure what else yet, guess I'll see what Santa brings.
Hello Teaboy!
Another interesting album appeared today -
'Discovered - A Collection of Daft Punk Samples' - it's all the original songs Daft Punk have used.
It's pretty enlightening, they have lifted pretty hefty chunks from these old disco/funk tunes.
Definitely worth a listen. (Strangely it doesn't diminish my love of them)

I'd love a few Soul Jazz comps, and as early 80s funk and punk is my thing right now they have a whole bunch out at the moment.
What I'd really love is a copy of this book: http://www.souljazzrecords.co.uk/releases/?id=10566
