Hello soul fans! Great interview with Steve Cropper in the current issue. Brilliant guy, great songwriter. Love that whole early - mid sixties guitar sound he had, and the MGs look - all mohair suits and pointy shoes. Cannae beat it!

Personal favourite is The Staple Singers. Not only because Mavis' voice is one of the most sublime things ever created, but also because one of them was called Pervis.
