Pub Trivia

We all love a bit of pop pub trivia here at Clash, hell we barely get any work done for sharing our favourite nuggets of music trivia.

so, let's hear your amazing facts!

to kick things off...

bring to mind The Clash's version of 'Armagideon Time'...

Around the 3 minute mark an authoritarian voice breaks in "all right, your time's up, let's have you out of there" with Joe responding "okay, okay, don't push us when we're hot".

So what's going on there? Is it an audio respresentation of the man trying to keep The Clash down? The four rebels under siege in their hq while the massed troops outside demand their surrender, hands in the air?

Well, the voice actually belongs to The Clash's mr fix-it Kosmo Vinyl.
Apparently, before the take, Joe had told him of his concerns of 'another' long take with 3 minutes being the optimum time to aim for and if the band were over running to let them know.

And so, another piece of The Clash's mystique is actually them being told to pack it in!
