OFFICER KICKS - Reading, Bishops Stortford, London Garage (Oct 009)

Officer Kicks, New Shows - London, Bishops Stortford, Reading

“Officer Kicks, The West End Musical” - a phenomenal Friday night out in London mid August, with a huge thank you to everybody that came, including a load of new faces. The Kicks Army massive are THE sociable network and made the whole evening into a real party. Kicking off at Carnaby Street’s flagship store, Merc. The band were paid in free clothing, did a filmed interview to camera before plaing a full on rock out in-store. The other side of Soho was next.

The launch of a great new night by Minx Media TV and friends called PLAYHARD. With Sid T Rotter on the decks it lived up to it’s name with a mix of Friday Night Party revellers, movers’n’shakers out to catch The Dash, The Bibelots, Tape The Radio and then Officer Kicks very live on stage at a fantastic event in the band’s favourite venue. Look out for photos and film clips from this night...

Since then, Officer Kicks already high reputation (and fan base has swelled).

At the end of August they played their first tour of Ireland as support to The Script. The hottest ticket in the land, they hit the big venues and genuinely won fervent new fans. Another place they’ve been asked to return to. The Irish press were on the case with Officer Kicks in the national newspapers and doing live radio sessions and interviews. They released Tom Thumb as a single on September 4th in Ireland.

With The Kraken being released in the UK on October 5th, tour dates are currently being set up. Including a return to Reading, as promised. Last time Officer Kicks played there (arrived at the venue with six minutes to spare before they couldn’t play!) they made a healthy amount of new friends (and CD sales of The Six Grand Plot). Having taken time out of touring to record the new album, Citywide Curfew, the band have been determined to get back as soon as possible.
