Gracing the cover of the latest issue Hot Chip talk up a storm...

What do you think of mainstream pop at the moment? Is it something you take an interest in?
"Like chalky dog muck from the Eighties."

Were you annoyed to be tagged as Nu Rave around the time of ‘The Warning’?
"People basically liked wearing bright clothes."

and, of course...
"Kylie wrote a song for us and it was fucking rubbish. To be honest, I don’t think she’s a songwriter."

check out an excerpt from the interview here or get your hands in your pockets and buy a copy for the full thing and much much more!

"James Murphy put his weight behind us... and that's a lot of weight!"

Hehe classic! Seriously tho, the difference between indie / major seems quite slight in this interview. Whats going on there!?!? Majors running scared and actually giving artists freedom??

And what about a campaign to bring back Top of the Pops?? Get Hot Chip on there now, bring electro geek chic to the nation!

I can see that too. We should put together a fake Hot Chip...

I reckon Alexis could be Mickey Finn from Only Fools And Horses - with a decent hair cut and loud jumper of course.

Hot Chip streaming out of your speakers while at work, superb!
First listen and there's clear signs of improvement on The Warning. Gut instinct says Out At The Pictures, Shake A Fist, One Pure Thought and Ready For The Floor are standouts. As with The Warning there's a real mixture of styles and sounds, occasionally a lull but overall another great album.

Sub Club, is that on Jamaica Street? I think there's a famous club night there? If only I could remember what it's called?
