Creamfields 2009 line up revealed!

Creamfields has landed and delivered a finely tuned, perfectly formed line up that ticks every box if you love dance music! Following Cream HQ’s announcement this week as being the only festival to reduce their ticket price this year, they have delivered an all star line up that includes BASEMENT JAXX, TIËSTO, PAUL VAN DYK, DIZZEE RASCAL, 2MANYDJ’S LIVE and MYLO LIVE, all of whom will be heading up north to one of the UK’s most idyllic spots for August Bank Holiday weekend.

The world’s biggest dancefloor returns with its winning formula of 8 arenas packed full of the best that dance music has to offer. Making his debut on the Main stage is demi-god TIËSTO. Tiësto is a DJ/Producer legend that is deserving of his stature, as well as showcasing new music for this very special performance, this will also be one of only two events he graces us with in England this year. Fellow Main Stage headliners are the indomitable BASEMENT JAXX. With jaw dropping stage shows, chaotic carnival presence and a back catalogue of worldwide smash hits Basement Jaxx drive their electronica, house party wagon right into the heart of Cheshire, and are geared up to eclipse their roof raising performance back in 2005.

Other additions to the line up include Berlin-born maestro PAUL VAN DYK, one of the best DJs and producers on the planet who really needs no introduction, Creamfields is also the only UK festival to have Paul van Dyk and Ti?sto perform on the same bill. Next up is hip hop extraordinaire DIZZEE RASCAL who is as well known for his irrepressible style as he is for his headline grabbing performances. His genre bending talent has made waves the world over, fusing grime, hip hop, ragga, garage and even indie.

Another act taking control of the Main Stage is the mighty 2MANYDJ’S LIVE, this cutting edge Belgian trio are at the top of their game, their first ever UK tour includes two sell out shows at Brixton Academy, and establishes their position as one of the worlds most in demand electronic outfits. We welcome CALVIN HARRIS to this year’s show, who performs live on the Main Stage. The self proclaimed re-inventor of disco is one of the UK’s biggest acts, his current smash ‘Im Not Alone’ is being hammered across the airwaves and tipped for No.1 success. After a 3 year hiatus, we see the return of MYLO LIVE, this will be a festival exclusive; Mylo will be showcasing new material from his forthcoming album.

Bringing some parisian glamour to Creamfields is France’s hottest house export superstar DJ Mr DAVID GUETTA, a force to be reckoned with and a DJ/Producer whose productions turn to gold! Joining him for an exlcusive performance will be fellow French man and Techno legend LAURENT GARNIER LIVE. An exciting coup for this year’s event is the UK debut of LUCIANO PRESENTS ÆTHER LIVE, who is yet another major artiste who has chosen Creamfields as his only UK festival.

This years DJ line up reads like a who’s who from the dance music fraternity, and includes the likes of ERICK MORILLO, JOHN DIGWEED, SASHA, FERRY CORSTEN, PETE TONG, EROL ALKAN and TIMO MAAS.

The SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA return for a 2nd year to host their own arena following its uber successful debut in 08! As one of the hottest party crews around S.H.M is made up of host DJ’s AXWELL, STEVE ANGELLO and SEBASTIAN INGROSSO. Jammed from start to finish, we expect the same hands in the air, four to the floor action this August Bank Holiday weekend.

Canadian grown talent DEADMAU5 LIVE joins us for a dance festival exclusive! Following his stratospheric journey to the top of dance music’s top echelons, this new breed of electronic artiste will be stepping up to the plate to inject some of his infectious electro house into the proceedings complete with his trademark giant mou5ehead.
Taking one for ‘team lady’, BBC Radio 1’s ANNIE MAC is a must see on any festival line up. Playing her infectious mix of electro and party tunes she will also be hosting her own ANNIE MAC PRESENTS ARENA. Joining Ms Mac on the bill is,the dance veteran and fellow Radio 1 DJ JUDGE JULES. Manchester’s hotly tipped DELPHIC LIVE join the bill, whilst CROOKERS also drop by for some late night mayhem with their house / techno blend, the two-some have been remixing for an all-star artist list tearing up dancefloors all over the world. Belgium’s hottest exports of late AEROPLANE also fly in (mind the pun) mixing psychedelic guitars, pop keys and catchy beats as an un-missable tag team. Other performances not to miss include SVEN VÄTH, SANDER VAN DOORN, BOYS NOIZE, NICK WARREN, DANNY HOWELLS and lets not forget the Drum and Bass fraternity, with a dedicated arena hosted by APE, expect performances from the likes of DJ MARKY, ANDY C, HIGH CONTRAST and a must see act is the jaw dropping human beatbox BEARDYMAN who has worked with everyone from Jazzy Jeff to Killa Kella.

As ever Creamfields will be spread over a host of the finest arenas, and we welcome clubbing bible Mixmag back to the ‘fields after a 4 year hiatus bringing with them the MIXMAG TERRACE, as well as an allstar line up featuring the likes of indie flag flying trio FRIENDLY FIRES they’ll also be asking their up-front DJ mates to play the kind of alternative sets you’d only normally hear them play in their bedrooms or house parties, but this time; everyone’s invited! Over in the hospitality arena we see the return of twisted disco hosts HED KANDI who bring with them a line up that fuses legendary HK residents and special guests.

Alongside these special additions will be the monstrous MAIN STAGE and arena hosts CREAM IN ASSOCIATION WITH BENCH / SUBLIMINAL / SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA / CHIBUKU / MIXMAG TERRACE / APE IN ASSOCIATION WITH DRUM AND BASS ARENA / HED KANDI / GOODGREEF XTRA HARD / ANNIE MAC PRESENTS with more announcements coming soon.

Creamfields are delighted to have BBC Radio 1 return this year for exclusive coverage throughout the event broadcasting an array of live music. Stay tuned to be the first to hear fresh announcements in the run up to the festival that embodies what August Bank Holiday was made for! www.bbc.co.uk/radio1

Creamfields 2009 is an explosive end to the Summer, with no stone left unturned with the line up, and ridiculously good value for money, dance festivals don’t get much better than this! It’s what August Bank Holidays are for.

More and more DJ's get web

More and more DJ's get web hosting on famous servers in order to put up their sites. This is how I get to see new artists and hear their songs. After I do that I can choose which event to participate at in order to listen only to what I like. Of course, ClashMusic helps a lot by keeping us wired to the latest music news.
