The Complete Package

Shambala Festival
27.08.2009 - 30.08.2009
Northamptonshire

Why should I go?
It's a unique and diverse festival that is full of surprise and mystery.

Any interesting titbits of information?
Shambala began in a farmer’s field and in its first year was attended by a mere 150 people.

Starting in 1999 in truly humble beginnings Shambala celebrates its 10th year in 2009 and is stronger and more popular than ever.

A creative, non-commercial, ethical and family-friendly festival, Shambala is a down-to-earth mix of the unexpected, spontaneous creativity, a warm atmosphere and quality entertainment. The festival itself offers plenty of stuff to get involved with; cinemas, workshops children’s activities, circus performances, as well as talks, saunas and a range of stalls and cafes.

Maybe the most endearing quality of the festival is that it is completely independent from advertising and sponsorship. It is a labour of love and passion. Having never promoted it, Shambala has grown through word of mouth alone.

The festival attracts people of all ages and walks of life, and has a welcoming atmosphere and a music policy to satisfy all comers. This is a festival that will encourage you to let go, lose your inhibitions, get stuck in and really enjoy yourself.

Ticket Price: £15-£99 depending on how long you stay and whether you are camping; early bird tickets sold out.
