Pentaport Festival

South Korea's Festival

25.07.2008 - 27.07.2008
Incheon City, South Korea

Why should I go?
It’s in South Korea. Good enough reason? Yep.

Any interesting tit-bits of information?
When the site is not being used by the festival it’s used as parking fields for Daewoo Motor Sales.

The festival takes place where Tri-Port Festival was originally intended to be. Unfortunately Tri-Port was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions in its inaugural year in 1999 so Pentaport was permitted to use the site instead, and has done so since 2006. It’s the biggest live music event in South Korea and features music across genres, but mainly rock and electronic. The name Pentaport comes from the five main themes of the festival: music, passion, being environmentally friendly, DIY and friendship. So we imagine the ideal festivalgoer would be a cuddly workmen in overalls with a ghetto blaster and a whole lot of love to give.

Ticket Price: 165 Korean Won (£81)

Accommodation: Camping is included in the ticket price.

Stages: Big Top Stage, Pentaport Stage.

Travel: Fly to Seoul and take the Seoul Subway Line on the Incheon Subway line to the festival site.
