Founded in 1992, In The City festival has earned its status as one of the major global music industry events. It's held yearly at Manchester’s Midland hotel, as well as various other venues across the city.
It is one of the World's premiere music events and has helped launch the careers of some of the biggest names in music from the last 20 years, from Radiohead to Oasis, Foo Fighters to Coldplay, many influential and iconic bands owe some of their reputation and status to the festival. With bands from all over applying to play with a hope of the same success, this is a festival that people from all areas of the music industry will benefit from by attending.
Keep on top of this one because it’s going to be huge and although as yet no acts have been confirmed, the calibre of talent from previous years suggests that it is going to be something special.
Ticket price: Delegate pass and three nights' stay at The Midland: £500
Venues: Predominantly held at the Midland but various venues will be confirmed shortly to host an array of events.
Accommodation: Get in there early to secure a place at the hotel itself. If this seems a bit expensive, then just take your pick from a range of accommodation across the city.
