Swan Song – Andre J

An ideal last day on Earth

How would you spend your last day alive? NYC promoter, creative and muse Andre J will be getting purified.

Where would you like to wake up?
On a reservation with the Two-Spirit – Native Americans whose primary focus is to re-establish their traditional roles within their respective tribes, as, historically, most Two-Spirit individuals, including not-men, not-women, gays and lesbians (and those who fell in between genders and sexualities), fulfilled a spiritual, if not sacred, purpose within specific tribes.

What would you like to achieve on your last day?
All of humanity coming together singing and dancing saluting the divinity in one another.

How would you like to spend your afternoon?
I would spend the afternoon in a ritual of purification for my next spiritual journey. The spirit never dies.

You host a Last Supper: who's coming?
My deceased mother. It would be the perfect time for she and I to catch up and have a great conversation. I would tell her how AMAZING she was as a parent and then she’ll tell me how proud of me she is.

What’s on the menu?
Soul Food. Collard greens, fried chicken, baked macaroni, candied yams, sweet potato pie, turkey, banana pudding, corn bread.

What is the last song you would like to hear?
‘The Boss’ by Diana Ross. My favorite song. “Love taught me who was the boss.” Music in the ’80s had such a great message and Diana is the most amazingly beautiful, skinny, talented sorceress with a huge smile and a closet full of Bob Mackie, and I love sequins, rhinestones, and ostrich feathers.

What would be your biggest regret?
Absolutely no regrets.

What would your deathbed confession be?
Service to Humanity. I use my life as an instrument to touch lives and save souls spreading love, positive energy, individuality, happiness, great laughter and a beautiful spirit.

What would your final words be?
‘I love you.’

How are you going to die?
Glamorously, with my Nobel Prize by my bedside.

Who would you like to meet at the Pearly Gates of Heaven?
Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Donyale Luna, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, and Marilyn Monroe.

Describe your vision of Heaven.
Beautiful and clean; a very stimulating a place of deities, angels, archangels, and ascended masters. And images of Andre J. floating around.

If you could be resurrected the next day, what would you come back as, and why?
I would come back as a bald eagle. They represent the TRUTH.
