Chilled, spiritual fare from the legendary selector...
DJ Food

Initially, DJ Food was a pseudonym picked up by all manner of crate diggers.

A moniker provided for a series of breaks laden compilations on Ninja Tune, the identity finally solidified into something real, something physical.

Currently headed up by Strictly Kev aka Kevin Foakes, the DJ Food project is currently being pushed into the 21st century. Continuing to tour widely, DJ Food is set to drop past this summer's instalment of Farmfest.

Held in Somerset, the event prides itself on providing a challenging, eclectic and enjoyable bill alongside a family friendly atmosphere ticket link.

Running between August 1st - 2nd, it takes place at high summer and - touch wood - usually provides dollops of sunshine for ticket holders. DJ Food is clearly excited at the prospect of returning to Somerset, and pieced together an exclusive mix for Farmfest.

'Children Of The Sun' is a blissful mix, packed down joyous beats and Eastern mysticism, as the producer explains...

"'Children of the Sun' is a mix about the sun and summer in general, made especially for Farmfest 2014. 50 minutes designed to relax to outside, lying on the grass in the warmth of the sun. Taking in jazz, beats, ambient, soul, funk, rock and electronica each track comments on the sun, summer or the great outdoors in some way."
