Songs to keep you warm...
Nina Nesbitt

Winter is steadily drawing in.

Each day the mornings seem to grow a little darker and the nights get a little colder. Christmas is fact approaching, and - no matter your faith - everyone reading this website is surely looking forward to a break, to a time when the alarm clock can be turned over guilt free.

Nina Nesbitt seems to know where we're coming from. The half-Scottish half-Swedish songwriter has worked tirelessly throughout 2012, touring across the country, giving countless interviews and recording numerous radio sessions. It's a schedule which is hard to keep up, but has held her in good stead.

Self-released EP 'The Apple Tree' is the result. A softly assured document, its success has pushed Nina Nesbitt into a position where - if she keeps up the momentum - 2013 can be her's to own. With the nights drawing in and the year drawing to a close, we invited Nina Nesbitt to piece together a winter playlist for ClashMusic readers.

Bon Iver - Skinny Love
One of my all time favourite artists & a track I've covered at the beginning of my career.

Fleet Foxes - White Winter Hymnal
Brilliant track and I love this amazingly different video, watch it!

Frightened Rabbit - The Wrestle
A great Scottish alternative rock band.

Joni Mitchell - River
I grew up listening to this artist and she's been one of my very early inspirations.

Agnes Obel - Just So
This is my fellow scandianvian with the most beautiful and relaxing voice.
