The Independent Label Market is a chance to get back to basics.
In an era when a band's entire back catalogue can be downloaded in a matter of moments, it's refreshing to be able to explore an older, rather more personal means of devouring new music. Gathering some of Britain's top independent labels, the market returned to East London at the weekend (December 1st - 2nd) to offer an alternative to the Christmas rush.
Taking control of an area in Spitalfields market, the ClashMusic team went down to the event in order to score ourselves some tasty vinyl. While we were there, we spoke to the good people manning the stalls - including representatives from Bella Union, !k7, Pink Mist, Full Time Hobby, R&S, One Little Indian and Moshi Moshi.
