Travelling tales, both good and bad...
Son Lux

Son Lux remain frustratingly difficult to pin down.

For one, the trio are almost continually on the road. Bringing their sound to a town near you, the group's fluid, ever-evolving live show is matched to an inquisitive sense of what can be achieved in the studio.

New album 'Bones' will be released on Monday (June 29th) and it's an intriguing return. Flitting from style to style, Son Lux continually perform aesthetic about-turns, unique changes of direction.

Ahead of this, Clash invited Son Lux to take part in Good Trip, Bad Trip - here's what they had to reveal.

Best Tour Trip...
An off day excursion along the southern coast of Iceland.

Worst Tour Trip...
Flight from Barcelona to Brussels. Zero sleep, Barcelona airport computer system down, delayed flight, airline lost our synth case, said synth case wasn't traceable because of said broken computer system, I (Ian) lost my passport at Brussels airport, back line company didn't have the right equipment for us.... Yeah that was a rough one.

My favourite foreign venue...
There are so many, but two we really love are AB and L'Orangerie in Brussels.

We're surprisingly popular in...
Tel Aviv

Best and worst exotic foodstuff...
There hasn't been a worst one yet, but we've had so much amazing food all over the U.S. and Europe! A few highlights: Falafel and Jerusalem Hummus in Tel Aviv, head cheese in Bratislava, surf n turf po boys in New Orleans, Assyrtiko santorini wine in Athens... There are so many, but Rafiq's parents and aunt's homemade East African style Indian food takes the cake for sure!

The most interesting individual I've met on the road...
Lee 'Scratch' Perry

Worst on-tour injury, accident or infection...
Rafiq caught a stomach bug in Stockholm and was bed ridden the whole night. Ryan and I (Ian) had to play the show as a duo. That was the only show that any of us have ever missed!

My essential travel item...
Ryan always travels with a wine opener. It's clutch.
