Clash DJ Mix – Iglew

A stunning selection of instrumental grime...

Boxed cohort and frontrunner of the current instrumental grime cavalry, Iglew has carved out a unique space for himself in the scene. Having previously dug his heels onto Mr Mitch’s Gobstopper Records with the atmospheric ‘Urban Myth’ EP, the Leeds-based producer has a knack for mining the melancholic, experimental side of the genre.

Now appearing on a new collaborative Boxed EP, alongside Logos, Spooky, Boylan and Jawside, his contribution — in the form of ‘Lullaby’ — sees him take some stabbing horn synths and use them as an aural battering ram.

He’s now packaged up a brand new mix for our series, that takes a load of his own coveted bootlegs and reworks (including a ‘ReLiff’-ed version of Capo Lee’s ‘Liff’) and positioned them next to a bunch of glistening instrumentals and off-the-hook vocal cuts.
