Track of the Day 19/1 - Sky Larkin

One of a handful of hugely promising domestic bands Clash writers have been tracking for some time in anticipation of a debut album, Sky Larkin are now gearing up for the release of ‘The Golden Spike’, out next month on Wichita.

The Leeds trio – Katie Harkin, Doug Adams and Nestor Matthews – raise the curtain on their first long-player with a new single, ‘Beeline’, released a week today. The track is a great introduction to the band’s blending of substantial pop hooks with the fieriness of their punk peers. Think Rainer Maria, Pretty Girls Make Graves… and even The Cribs.
