As Christmas rolls ever closer, we at Clash begin to panic: when, exactly, are we going to do our shopping, and will there be anything left at Woolies to fill the stockings of our nearest and dearest?
But putting such concerns to one side for a few minutes: today’s Track of the Day. And a festive treat it is, too. The Deer Tracks are David Lehnberg and Elin Lindfors, and the Swedish duo have enjoyed plenty of blogosphere coverage through 2008.
In 2009 the pair will release their debut album, ‘Aurora’ – look for it in March via Despotz Records. Describing themselves as ‘Northern Lights Electronica’, the band’s album is a collection of delicate beats and affecting sweeps, coming on like The Knife meeting Efterklang – magical and mysterious and ever so slightly Múm-esque.
