Mysterious Dance Newcomer

Dance music - faceless techno bollocks!
Or in this case faceless house bollocks. Signed to Sinden's electrifying Grizzly imprint, the reclusive London producer Jon Giovanni has turned heads with a series of blistering electro-house cuts.
Yet no one is altogether sure who he is. Jon Giovanni... Italian mafia don turned super producer? A chart star slumming it? A cockney milkman who makes banging electro on his time off?
We can't be sure. However one listen to 'Take Off' reveals that whoever he is, Jon Giovanni is sure damn funky. The new track has a buoyancy, an edge which propels it beyond lesser house fare.
A hard edge boogie, 'Take Off' is in love with disco but never once falls into the retro beatrap. Instead, Jon Giovanni using disco as a launching pad for future explorations, the synths spiralling off into space.
Rumour has it that Jon Giovanni has a day job, which involves releasing albums, winning Grammy awards and headlining festivals. ClashMusic couldn't possibly comment, but the WAFA remix is tickling our fancy.
Pushing 'Take Off' into a frenzy, it is already getting plays as clubbers warm up after the long winter freeze.
