Dubstep Don Returns

What do prunes and dubstep have in common?

Bowel loosening, that's what. Dubstep don Bass Clef returned with his second album 'May The Bridges I Burn Light The Way' last week, effortlessly blending the sounds of Kingston and Brixton.

Bass Clef's one man soundsystem wrings every ounce of wobble out of his countless productions and re-edits, touring the world to acclaim. Real name Ralph Cumbers, Bass Clef rose to prominence last year after stand out shows at The Big Chill, Bloc and Sonar.

Hailed by dubstep aficionados due to his near effortless innovation, Bass Clef is also capable of looking back, throwing in references to Jamaican kingpins such as Lee 'Scratch' Perry.

With African percussion, This Heat-style drum freak-outs, and the usual riot of trombone, Theremin and cowbell from his live shows the new album is a symphony of cultures.
