The term of the moment. Summer is high, but the mood is chill. In the United States, the genre making waves online is chillwave, a mixture of glitchy electronica and samples from half-remembered 80s hits.

From Brooklyn, Au Revoir Simone can sympathise with these new producers. The all girl trio have been making chill music for years now, releasing their third album 'Still Night, Still Light' last year.

A favourite with remix artists, new versions of the material almost immediately began appearing online. With the likes of Jens Lekman and Silver Column plundering those stems, Au Revoir Simone's material began to take on new life.

Collecting the best of these remixes, new album 'Night Light' is out now. Adding shade to last year's studio recordings, an eclectic batch of producers have pushed and stretched Au Revoir Simone in a host of different directions.
