Track of the Day 30/6 - The Gaslight Anthem

It’s fair to say The Gaslight Anthem have had a pretty good time of it lately: critical acclaim for their album ‘The ’59 Sound’ (REVIEW), appearances at the world’s best and biggest festivals this summer, and the seal of approval from a certain artist by the name of Bruce Springsteen, who the New Jersey foursome were joined by during their set at the Glastonbury festival – click HERE to see the performance.

The song The Boss guests on, ‘The ’59 Sound’, is our Track of the Day for the final day of June 2009 – and to our ears it couldn’t be more perfect for the brilliant blue sky that currently sweeps across Soho (even if we could do with being a little less sweaty). Here, the quartet deliver one of their live favourites in a stripped-back acoustic style.
