Nothing's Going In

There's nothing inherently wrong with classicism.
A lot of people - musicians, in particular - shy away from what's come before simply out of fear. However Bromide stick out through sheer stubborn iron will.
Based in London, the trio are led by Simon Berridge. At one point an investment banker, the '87 crash allowed the aspiring songwriter to find a convenient escape route. Jettisoning the economic world, Berridge instead focussed on his music.
Since then, Bromide have enjoyed a lengthy, chaotic existence. ‘Iscariot Heart’ (1997), ‘No.Space.Anymore. Even.Between.Words’ (2003) and ‘The Trouble with Bromide’ (2008) saw the band establish their reputation, while recent album 'Some Electric Sometime' has enjoyed wide acclaim.
Rooted in classic songwriting, Berridge uses London as a backdrop and inspiration for his work. The near endless streets, boroughs pour through his songs with Bromide rooting themselves in the capital.
