Snotty Danish Psych Punk

The gap between psychedelia and punk isn't quite as large as some would have you believe.

Go and listen to 'Nuggets' - a garage rock primer, most of the cuts on there were produced by long of hair, Acid dropping freaks. Freaks like me, possibly you and definitely Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band.

Firstly, let's soak up that name for a second. Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band definitely earns the ClashMusic gold medal for silly names, but it also harks back to the 60s tradition of undermining Victorian values.

Sounding like an absurd, surrealist take on a travelling circus, Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band's music happily doesn't let the side down. Snotty garage punk with a head vibe, the Danish group match a stubborn attitude problem with flower power flourishes.

Debut album 'Stuff That Rotates' is set to drop this summer. Crafted by just two people, Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band recently branched out and hired a new bass player - alas, she's so new she isn't in any of the press pics as yet.

Ahead of the new album ClashMusic have been given new cut 'Black Egg'. Opening with a strutting guitar riff, the pair carry the same adolescent swagger as The Stooges or even The Stones.

'Black Egg' quickly breaks down, though, into a sludgy guitar pattern and some nifty flute parts. Ending with some edgy guitar smashing against the vocals, this is a phenomenal introduction to Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band.
