Superhumanoids Remix

Afrobeat marked the point where American music returned to Africa.
Inspired by the guttural funk of James Brown, free jazz and traditional African rhythms musicians such as Fela Kuti concocted a heady brew of dynamic rhythms and screaming horns.
Inspiring a new generation of musicians, loose knit Californian collective Fool's Gold were amongst those who couldn't get the rhythms of Africa out of their minds.
The band released their debut album back in 2009, a pop heavy collection stained with the legacy of Afrobeat. Touring across the globe, the band settled into their Los Angeles home to craft a follow up.
The results are pretty special. 'Leave No Trace' was released last week (September 5th) and picks up almost immediately from where their debut album left off. Fool's Gold have honed their sound, with the collective becoming more driven, focussed.
Set to tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers this Autumn, the group will be exposed to countless new fans. Recently playing a headline date of their own at the Hackney Empire, Fool's Gold proved that they remain a ferocious live prospect.
Taken from their recent album, recent single 'Wild Window' was a propulsive piece of Afro-pop. Given an overhaul by Superhumanoids, Fool's Gold are pushed to a new level of frenzy.
