Track of the Day 14/7 - Birdy Nam Nam

Staying on the other side of the Channel after yesterday's TOTD...

French hip-hop maestros Birdy Nam Nam released their ‘The Parachute Ending’ EP recently, and from it we’ve got the Kap Bambino remix as our track of the day.

The EP is something of a special project, bringing together the music of the collective with the singular graphic style of Steve Scott and Will Sweeney – it’s been called a piece of ‘intergalactic animated art’, no less.

The track – co-composed by Justice (and can’t you tell!) – follows a narrative of sorts, presented visually in the accompanying video: a UFO pilot lands on a strange planet, enters a mysterious temple, meets some (perhaps) friendly aliens, and then…
