Perky indie-pop from London trio...

London trio William go from strength to strength with the release of their new mini-album ‘Slightly Delighted’ (released May 18 on Tough Love), the follow-up to last year’s debut album ‘Self In Fiction’.

The band’s 2008 was hectic, to say the least, with substantial touring complemented by radio support from Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Edith Bowman and Steve Lamacq. They called at the Camden Crawl and appeared on Channel 4’s Rockfeedback show; stages were shared with a wealth of wonderful sorts, from Wild Beasts to The Twilight Sad, via Johnny Foreigner and Dananananaykroyd.

‘Slightly Delighted’ was recorded in early 2009, and represents a step forwards for the trio – taken from it is the scratchy, jerky and utterly irresistable ‘Youngun’, available to download as our Track of the Day.
