Autumn leaves, a chill in the breeze and rummaging in the cupboard to find that scarf you bought oh so many months ago. While the first touches of winter are enough to put gloom into the most hardened of optimists, ClashMusic may have found a solution...

Hailing from Brazil Mickey Gang make the sort of sleazy synth-pop that Prince knew how to do once. In fact, the band are so brazenly honest about their influences that they have even written a song named 'Love, Prince'.

But that's not today's Track Of The Day. Debut single 'Horses Can't Dance' is imbued with the same sense of bedlam that turned disco into house, matching daft lyrics with squealing synths that seem to scream 'get on the dancefloor and don't leave until this is over!'

At least we think that's what they're saying. Mickey Gang already have enough material to script a fun-filled debut album and if the rest of their arsenal of tunes match the potency of 'Horses Can't Dance' then we may have found our soundtrack to the winter...
