Track of The Day 10/11 - Animal Collective
American Heroes Return
Plucked from one of the greatest albums of 2009 - in fact one of the greatest album achievements of the decade - Clash brings you ‘Brother Sport’.
For nearly a year now, 'Merriweather Post Pavillion' by Animal Collective has been held aloft as a modern classic by all corners of the music press. Hailed for its pulsating neo-psychedelia that smoothes the oft-abrasive edges of their previous material, and forces to the surface the electronic undercurrents that have been so essential to Panda Bear’s solo success.
And so by now I can only assume that you’ve made the effort to buy, beg, borrow or steal a copy of the long-player that will certainly dominate the end-of-year charts, ours included.
‘Brother Sport’, the third single from the album, is out this week available on 10” and via digital download, and will be backed with a live version of a brand new track ‘Bleeding’ (Live) recorded recently at Big Sur in California.
Soon to follow from Animal Collective is the newly-announced 5-track E.P. ‘Fall be Kind’. Read more HERE.
